Hello,
I've bought a few moths ago a virtual private server with direct admin preinstalled. All worked fine for my first domains, but a week ago I bought a couple of new domains.
I filled the hosting module with my two nameserver (ns1.nuovefrontiere.info e ns2.nuovefrontiere.info), and after a few days my hosting company informed me that my 2nd nameserver didn't work.
In my panel (log on admin->reseller panel) I can see ns1.nuovefrontiere.info[213.92.118.252] and ns2.nuovefrontiere.info[213.92.118.253] (I've got only two public ip addesses).
All my registered domain appears to work (such as www.isontino.net), but I can't complete the registration of my new domains because ns2.nuovefrontiere.info isn't responding.
I've tried and tried to solve, but ns2.nuovefrontiere.info won't respond! (Take a look http://www.checkdns.net/quickcheck.aspx?domain=isontino.net&detailed=1).
The only help from my hosting company is "bind nameserver with 213.92.118.253", but I don't know exactly what to do.
I've followed all the steps from DA guide and howto's (http://www.directadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=130), but no nameserver was installed on 213.92.118.253.

Please help me!!!
Riccardo

DirectAdmin doesn't automatically answer for all IP#s, but only for those for which you've setup a nameserver or on which you're hosting a domain.

If you're not hosting a domain on 213.92.118.253, then you need to make sure of the following:

Are both IP#s listed in the IP Manager section of your admin control panel? If the second one isn't, be sure to add it at this page of the control panel.

Then go to the admin reseller control panel, and check the Name Servers page.

There assign the two IP#s to the nameserver names you're using.

If all that is set up properly, then you may have a firewalling issue, or .253 may be setup on a different server, since ping works to .253, but no other ports appear to work.
