We have been running a clients dedicated server used for e-commerce with Magento platform for 2 years now. We are using

CentOS 6.5
DirectAdmin 1.45.4
Dovecot 2.2.13
Exim 4.84

The problem:
In periods of 1-3 times a week the owner of the e-shops gets duplicates of the order confirmation emails. We have not managed to find a pattern of specific times conflicting with other server activities. All other email services is working perfekt with DKIM etc. We have also excluded that it's a Magento issue. I simply think it's a miss-configuration of the email setup somewhere.

Which version of the exim.conf file are you using?

Have you checked the exim logs, concerntrating on the specific emails that are being duplicated?

Have you checked the headers on both copies of a duplicated email to see if they've taken differing paths?
