i cant edit php.ini

hello. when i try to edit php.ini in my new server like my other server and install ioncube or ... and then try php -v it doesent show my module which i install like ioncube.
i do what i do on my other server.
whats wrong with it?

hello. i find that i must edit /usr/local/etc/php5/cgi/php.ini instead of /usr/local/lib/php.ini
.
but i have another problem.
zend extention are place on /usr/local/lib/php.ini but i cant find it on /usr/local/etc/php5/cgi/php.ini

it mean i must install zend again?

This is the location of the file to edit.

/usr/local/Zend/etc/php.ini

I installed xcahce and ioncube last week and it works just fine also.
