HI, I have a question about add a sub domain from DA

I have a primary domain, and now I want to add a subdomain abc.maindomain.com solely for email purposes. Besides adding the MX records for ABC, what other domain records do I need to add for it to function properly? Thank you, everyone

you don't need to manual add any records, directadmin already generate and work perfect fine.

if you work with external dns provider like cloudflare, cloudfront, ..etc.., just copy all records in DA DNS Management into external dns service.

If you want to make emailaccounts that will end on: abc.maindomain.com so for example [email protected] than you will need to add the subdomain as a domain on DirectAdmin and not as subdomain.
