I want to change Cpanel to DirectAdmin on Current Server + Data backup

Hello guyz,

i dont like cpanel now @ all....its always hanging...my server so i want to move to directadmin.

But m worried how to change just control panel and keep my data as it is..

So please guide me in detail.

While it's possible to convert a running system from cPanel to DirectAdmin, the process isn't as simple as you'd like, and you could lose data.

You cannot do this in real-time. You must back up everything you need under cPanel, then wipe your server and reinstall it from the OS level, and then DirectAdmin, and then restore your backups. Under the best of circumstances this will take time, and there are several steps where things could go wrong, including losing everything, if your backups can't be converted for some reason, or don't contain all the detail you need.

Start by carefully reading the entire thread in user ISOS6's link. I'd recommend doing a trial restore to a new system before converting your current system, to make sure you have all the data you need.

If you're not sure of yourself and your abilities to work through any issues, don't do it yourself; hire an expert.
