i want to increase my php.ini memory limit please

hello

yesterday my website was working fine but since today i'm facing this issue :

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 71 bytes)

i Googled that error and everyone answer was edit the php.ini file but i don't know how so could you please give simple and clear instructions on how to do so

What file did you edit? You probably edited the wrong php.ini. what does phpinfo say.

If you are running PHP as apache module, then you should restart the web-server. Try to restart Apache.
