i want to install CSF firewall to stop brute force attacks i'm getting everyday could you please help me out and tell me how to install and configure one

i own a dedicated server and running centos 64 bit

now i followed the instructions here

and this was the result from my SSH client

RESULT: csf should function on this server

so right now what should i do is there is like a platform to edit settings or that's it i won't get any other brute force attacks anymore

by the way i noticed that there is more commands in the install.txt CSF installation guide so i am letting you know that that was the last command i used should i do the rest

Next, test whether you have the required iptables modules:

You need to configure CSF from DA Panel first, than use the guide we linked to create needed files to integrate BFM with CSF.

i'm complete newbie could you please tell me exactly what to do

i just followed the instructions in the linked topic you gave me and everytime i copy a code it the session ends every time i've done the three codes but i didn't configure the CSF from the DA panel so could you please help me out and tell me how to do all that ?

If you did create those file linked on second topic and set them with execution permission (chmod 700 file) than BFM is configured, on directadmin panel you should have the link to the csf configuration (at admin level), you need to open it, check all the values and opened port to match your needs (important the DA port and SSH port to dont get kicked out) and disable the test mode, untill you dont disable test mode csf will not be really active.
