If my one customer want use only a subdomain in my server, how can I set it up?

My customer told me that he will point dns of a subdomain to my server but I don't know how to set it up.
Any one has similar experience? Please tell me how to, pls

I got that on my server because for some private purposes I use a dhs.org subdomain, for example myname.dhs.org.
So I just created a new domain name and added myname.dhs.org as domain name and it worked.

However, you have to make sure that under the admin options you have disabled the check for subdomain owners.
