imap accounts and outlook setup

I have a client who wishes to use IMAP to read their emails

A. AM I right in assuming that pop accounts setup will be able to be read by IMAP?

I am havign problems accessing IMAP folders on the server

1. IMAP is working
2. I have followed the instructions at this help file to check if everything is installed and running ok

it is. Localhost seems fine
3. Squirrel mail is working just great
4. The firewall is turned off

When accessing from outlook and outlook express I have the problem. I get these sort of errors

Configuration:
Account: savagelily.co.uk
Server: imap.savagelily.co.uk
User name: [email protected]
Protocol: IMAP
Port: 143
Secure(SSL): 0
Code: 800ccc0f


(I ahve used mail. , www., simple root everything for that server address)

Any ideas how to get this working for an IMAP no hoper would be gratefully recieved
