IMAP activation

What more should I install in Directadmin for using IMAP?

In thunderbird I already made the right changes but it doesn't work yet.

Don't have to tell I'm a beginner.... Thanks in advance for your help.

DA supports two different IMAP servers, there is the UW Version, and Dovecot. UW needs to installed using xinetd or what ever inetd version your OS uses. I prefer the Dovect version, and a quick search will show you exactly how to enable Dovecot on your system.
