IMAP not working?

I just discovered that since we reinstalled our server, IMAP stopped working. In the admin section, I'm not seeing WU-IMAP running, and a ps -aux |grep imap gives me nothing (except for the grep command, of course). Is vm-pop3d supposed to handle IMAP connections?

Here are our symptoms:
- Connecting with an e-mail client (Eudora) gives me "connection refused" (using the exact same login with POP3 works fine though)
- Squirrelmail gives me the exact same error message

So... how would I best go about restoring IMAP functionality? It used to work perfectly on our previous installation (which was done by the DA boys, this one was done by me).

The stock imap server runs from xinetd if I recall... You'll need to make sure it's enabled in /etc/xinetd.d/imap and then start the xinetd service.

Good point. I guess I didn't read http://www.directadmin.com/install.html carefully enough when reinstalling our stuff (I forgot to install xinetd, heh)
