IMAP server returns old TLS certificate

FreeBSD 11.1, newest versions all software. Dovecot_sni and exim_sni are enabled.

On December 6th I renewed an expired client TLS certificate with Letsencrypt. It works fine on the website; however when I connect through IMAP I get an error that the certificate is expired. It still uses the old one.

I guess something went wrong during the generation of the new certificate. Is there a letsencrypt log file anywhere?

Hello,

Dovecot, Exim, Nginx/Apache load SSL cert from one location, so you probably need to restart exim/dovecot manually. Please lf it does not help.

Confirmed. It was a cache problem. Restarting dovecot and exim fixed it.
