index.html file upload problem

Hi,

I've been trying to upload my site using the control panel file manager and everything has been displaying fine with exception to the index.html page. When I check the index page on the file manager it's the home page that I uploaded but when I check my domain name a under construction page comes up. Does anyone know what I could be doing wrong?

I've had a look around on the forum to find the solution to the problem but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

It maybe just cached on your machine OR you have multiple index files and another is being displayed.

Try going in via filemanager and checking if you accidently left some other index pages in there.

Failing that post yout URL - it might help.

Hi,

I thought that a duplicate index page might have been the problem too, but the only one that's visible in the public directory is the one that I uploaded not the "under construction" index page. When I uploaded the site I deleted the existing index page to avoid such a problem.

The URL is www.luvlok.com

I think IP 64.62.166.86 is from your registrar provider and not from your server. In that case you have to change it.
 
your DS are showing as..

luvlok.com. NS IN 86400 dns1.namesecure.com.

luvlok.com. NS IN 86400 dns2.namesecure.com.

I suspect they need to be changed to your webhosts dns.

Did you buy hosting through namesecure or another host?

If through another you'll need to ask them what to change your DNS to (usually in a welcome email)
