Index.html mess - please help

Hi

I am using an FTP program..when I log in as Admin, I see no public_html, so I am failing to see where the Apache index.html screen is.

Also, when I do make a reseller or administrator I can upload files easy but I cannot view any of them when I type in the web addresses..

the main server directory isn't accessible via FTP .. it's /var/www/html

I am in the httpd.conf document trying to change the documentroot

How do I make this the default homepage

/home/geron/domains/geron.com/public_html/index.html

in the httpd file?
