I am new on DirectAdmin . Just just created a test account and noticed that few folders have very insecure permission which was created by Directadmin i.e. public_html 777 .
My concerns
1. As per my knowledge 777 permission is very dangerous & may cause account hack . So why Direct admin is created it by default ?
2. Is it normal to see 777 permissions in the accounts created in Directadmin ? or I have done anything wrong .

Default permission is 755. Please check custom hooks there in /usr/local/directadmin/scripts/custom if this happens on new account creation.

Yes, it's happening with new account . Please advise what I should do ?

Aha! I noticed the 777 permission is for shortcuts not actual folder . Is it safe to leave 777 for such folder ? [Image attached ]
