Even then I wouldn't use it if you don't know what you are doing.
The default ruleset will break a lot of stuff. I had it in and removed it quickly.

To install mod_security you can use a default installation guide available in the archive with sources, and/or check the following links:

Anyway, as it was already mentioned if you have no experience with it you'd better not start it on your production server, try it instead on a test/development server and see how much it suits your needs.

The fact that CB can or not install mod_security will not solve your issue, mod_secuirity installation should be quite easy, the ruleset are definitly "personal" so, even if CB install mod_security it will never know what rules are best for you and you'll need to figure out yourself anyway.
Said that, i do should agree that CB can install mod_security, but, everyone will need to customize rulesets for fit own needs

I second that. You'll have to write lots of exception rules, will have slower pings and might have lock ups when attacked. Installing it is the easy part.
