Hello,

i am looking at DA to install and I have 2 questions.

1: can it be installed on a suse machine or only on the distro's that are in the requirements?

2: My server has an internet ip (10.0.0.56) is it enough the forwared my extrenal ip through the router to my server or does the server have to have the external ip for install to work?

Regards,

1) DirectAdmin is only supported on specific OS distributions for several reasons. Among those are that it's a compiled C++ binary and expects specific libraries, and that it expects specific paths, ownerships, etc. And you'd not be able to get any support at all because there's no reference installation, either made by DirectAdmin publishers, JBMC, or by any of us; the volunteer helpers on these forums.

2) DirectAdmin requires the external IP# be working on one of the interfaces on the server. There may be a non-supported workaround somewhere on these forums, but again, it wouldn't be supported.
