am I the only one?

"Error: No License

Installatron is unable to retrieve a license. The Installatron licensing server may be temporarily offline, or your server is unable to ping the licensing server (make sure you can ping files.installatron.com from your server)."

I also can't access their site

I just spoke to Phi1 on the phone; he'll get his server back online.

nice to know

since it wasn't back yet, i just sent him an E-Mail

anyway... he wasn't aware it was down?

also, a suggestion is that at least the "license check" be put on a redundant server, since if it's down, installatron stops on all hosts which uses it...

One of our testers had no problem installing Mambo from one of our servers during the time when Installatron was down, so I'm not sure under what circumstances Installatron checks. Perhaps we should ask Rowan or Phi1.

Hello,

Our Installatron server is now back up. I apologize for the down time; I was away when the server went offline.

As for redundancy, every time an admin goes to Installatron Admin, Installatron checks the admin's license against our server. In a future release, if this check fails, Installatron will continue operating for a few days, instead of giving up instantly as it does now.

in fact it happened when trying to access the user interface

I got errors in the user interface that it could not unpack a file, I then went to the Admin page to update the packages and got an error because the license server was offline.

Onno
