installing a cert on subdomain

I bought me an extra IP so that I could install a ssl cert on a subdomain, so that the subdomain would function as a common login/billing site for a network of sites, avoiding buy certs for multiable domains and ugly dialog boxes.



but I can't figure how to do this.


I manage to assign the the ip to a reseller, but I don't know how to allocate the IP to "owned" status





how would I do this?

You have to set up the subdomain as it's own site on it's own IP#.
