Hey yo what up,

My friend told me about Joomla and how its useful on a site. So I downloaded Joomla and put the folder on my DirectAdmin account. After that I got help on how to find how to set it up. After that I got to the page 4 : Database part i didnt get the point. I tried to get help with it but I didnt know how to do the rest. My friend told me that I should make a database, so I did. After that I typed in all the info and my mysql but, then it didnt work. It said It didn't work. I need help because I have to publish my site by February 6. Thank You!!!:p:p

It sounds like you need to get your friend to help you or hire a web developer. Most of us are server administrators and that is not what you want.

Does your hosting company provide Installatron? Look for it at your main DirectAdmin account page. If it's there, then remove your Joomla installation and use Installatron to create Joomla for you; it automatically sets up everything with one or two clicks.

Installatron is a third-party application; so your hosting company may or may not provide it. If not, ask them to :). It's a commercial product and it's not free, so your hosting company may not want to provide it.

Note I have no financial interest in Installatron; I just like it.
