Installing problems ubuntu debian 4.0

Dear readers,

after installing DirectAdmin i see:

options.conf exists, not installing the httpd.conf. Relying on customapache.
*** Unable to backup /etc/proftpd.conf to /etc/proftpd.conf.back : Unable to open /etc/proftpd.conf for reading<br>

Install of /usr/local/directadmin/data/templates/proftpd.conf to /etc/proftpd.conf successfull
Install of /usr/local/directadmin/data/templates/directadmin.conf to /usr/local/directadmin/conf/directadmin.conf successfull
*** Unable to read directadmin.conf. Check permissions and make sure that it exists.
Cannot find the diradmin user. Make sure the diradmin user exists in your system.<br>

## INSTALL_FAILED
## REPORT_END

diradmin exists BUT i cant login to it thrue ssl
also the setup.txt says:
adminname=admin (why isnt that diradmin?)

i changed all premissions on directadmin/conf but still getting errors

i tried to restart stop and start directadmin without succes
reloading directadmin says:
Reloading DirectAdmin config file: [ FAILED ]

I have serieus no idea what it could be can someone PLEEEEASSEEE help.

Code:
Cannot find the diradmin user. Make sure the diradmin user exists in your system.
Usually means that you've got the wrong OS selected in the license file, thus you've got the wrong binaries. (or else the diradmin user really isn't added, but that's usually not the case).

Email us your license ID number and the OS you want to be using (debian 4) and we'll make sure it's set to the correct value for you.
