When does mysql/php/apache/mail and everything normally get installed? Is it when you run the single install script? Or at some point later?

This is the 2nd time we've tried to install this. The first time the system admin at the data center tried and it gave him the same valid license error and DirectAdmin was there but no apache, no mysql, no php, no services... I could log into the control panel via the IP after changing the admin password manually via the command line, but not everything was there...

This is the last bit of the screen showing the error after I tried to reinstall it, just to see what happened... the tech confirmed this sounded like the same error he got the first time... (related to an invalid license) but I have a valid license... just checked...

Re-installing directadmin...

Could it be because my current license has the same name server as this current NEW license?

What's the proper procedure to setup a new server that will have the same name servers at the old server but keeping the old server online so I can make sure I have all the data transferred over?

DirectAdmin sales solved the problem, but the DirectAdmin overseas tech support had no idea... the problem was that I put the license ID instead of the license key in the install command.... my certified tech at the datacenter also made the same mistake...

installation was a breeze, took about 30 seconds once I fixed that...

but the DirectAdmin support company has to go, they don't know anything about DirectAdmin other than what they read in the documentation and don't really understand what that means... this is typical of overseas hosting support and they just waste time and blame the customer... this is a perfect example... the DirectAdmin sales person solved the problem that DirectAdmin tech support could not...

Please get a new tech support company.

In this case, the customer is to blame. Why you think you didn't get any forum support anymore from users here? Because the way you behave last time.
Has nothing to do with "overseas" support. Seems your "not overseas" tech guy is just as bad.

And if you had a look at the docs I pointed to the first time, you had seen that it clearly says license KEY and not ID. Wrong reading is customer blame yes. Especially if the customer states he has so much and so long experience with DA.

Well, you got your issue fixed now. Try follow instructions better next time and do things yourself instead of using datacenter tech guys and then blaming DA and users here for bad support on errors that they and you made.
