IP Address Problem

I'm having a strange problem and am not sure it's related to DA or something else.

My host gave me a new block of IPs for my server. I went into DA as an admin and added them through the option there. Then I logged in as a reseller and assigned one of the IPs to a user.

The problem is that I can't get the IP to come up in the browser. I am able to ping them and get a response, but nothing otherwise. I don't have any special firewall settings that I am aware of and haven't had trouble with this in the past on other servers with the same setup.

Any ideas would be appreciated. thanks!

If this is an additional range of IP addresses, then it sounds like you need to bind them using shell (if DA does this automatically, I am not aware, as I always do it manually).

Is this a Redhat-based Linux server?

DirectAdmin should bind additional IP#s automatically. I'd try manually installing one of those IP#s through your OS Distribution's normal method and see if it works.

Your host may also have made an error in the allocation.
