A few months ago there was a discussion about a custom template for ips.conf. (http://directadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=13460&highlight=ips.conf)

Unfortunately the discussion was suddenly ended, because the DirectAdmin support posted a workaround and the TS seemed to be satisfied.

However, I am not really satisfied and I'd like to have the ability to make a custom template for this file, because I don't make use of suexec.

Last night one of my users changed something in their ip configuration, after that the ips.conf file was rewritten and a line containing SuExecUserGroup was added.
After that apache automatically tried reloading, but it didn't work, because of the SuExecUserGroup line.
So the apache service has been offline for a long time.

Could you please add a feature to make a custom template of this file?

Yes,

I'd like to see this also.
Now everytime an ip changes, apache is dead. Have to change the ips.conf by hand everytime.

a big vote for this one!!!

Another vote on that! :) When adding new IP, there is VirtualHost with SSL support, I am using apache without SSL on many servers, so I have to edit this file by hand.

Now we got another problem.
If somebody adds a domain pointer, we got the same problem as I mentioned in my start post.
I've searched this forum and I found that this has been discussed before, but no action is taken so far.

Could you please also add a custom template for domain pointers?
