i have install iptables into server due to the attack from outside.

but after that found out that it block the directadmin port 2222

if disable it, will solve the 2222 problem. but attack will come again.

very headache on this

may i know is it possible to enable iptables but allow port 2222?

If you're going to use Peter Laws' method (good method, by the way) be sure to add it to whatever file you run last at startup (rc.local?) so it'll work each time you restart your server.

You might also want to try the KISS firewall; it's easy to configure; I've got two examples here; one of them will probably just work on your system, but you might want to adjust the ports we allow by default. It's easy to understand.
