Hi all,
I'm completely new to DirectAdmin and I'm not very experienced with servers in general. So I hope you all can bare over with me and maybe help me with a little knowledge
I'm trying to create a "dynamic" user setup if you will. What I want to do is to have development envoirment for me and my co-workers.
Let me explain.
We have a development domain: "dev.favola.dk". And we are 3 coders: "Morten", "Thomas" and "Martin".
What I want to achieve is that all 3 coders have "access" to our development domain "dev.favola.dk".
BUT the "unsual" part is I want them to have their "own" development envoirment on the domain.
I.e. I want Morten to git clone a repository into "his" development area but not into Thomas and Martin's area.
So when Morten wants to debug and test (etc). He can do it at:
http://projectname.morten.dev.favola.dk
Can you guys follow where I'm heading at?
I would like a user to have like - their own home - which is like their own development area, but can access it on the same domain?
I realise I have to use some advanced vhost and Apache thing. But my question is if it's even possible with DirectAdmin at all.
And if it is, how can this be achived?
I REALLY hope, that you guys can understand my explaination here. It's cute hard to explain it all in text
In advanced, thanks a billion!!
Regards,
Morten
