Is my DA installation eating up too much memory?

Hi,

I've got a Xen VPS with 768Mb of RAM and CentOS 5 64-bit installed with DA 1.3.6 and configured by the VPS Hosting Staff. I ready much elsewhere on the net that DA should use less memory than cPanel for instance.

But my installation eats up nearly 700Mb of RAM and left me with only approx. 50-60Mb :( Please have a look at the Screen Shot below, is it too little for a DA installation?

Regards

Probably not. Linux and BSD distributions both manage memory, which means that most of it appears to be used rather than free. This has been discussed many times in these forums. If you're unsure, you should check with your VPS provider, because they know how they set up their VPS instances.

Ram should always be nearly 100% used. Read up on linux memory management.

You're using 324 MB and you have 443 free.
What's the problem with that?

Please type 'top' and paste here optout.

No problems any longer. The provider throw me out as I complained about something else. So I choosed another provider and memory issue is no longer a problem ;) Now I know how to read that memory free output. Thanks for the help guys.

Dont think so... mine uses like 790mb. You can tweak certain settings for httpd, dovecot ... etc to make values lower for vps.
