Is MySQL 5.5 worth upgrading

Hello,

I am currently running a very busy website running on joomla 2.5
I would like to know if upgrading MySQL from 5.1 to 5.5 would be a good idea in my case ? I read that it can be a good boost to performance.

I am using MySQL 5.1 for all Joomla websites (1.5 and 2.5). If you are running Joomla 1.5 you need to stay on 5.1 if you still want to install extensions or you manually need to edit extenion SQL files (type=myisam is now engine=myisam). If you are not running 1.5 I would say 5.5 is better because of performance and longer support.

How much performance increase should I expect ?
My site is: kapitalis.com
I have optimized both apache and mysql and im using caching on it.
