Is there any risk to change /etc/group 's admin setting?

I just manually change the /etc/group


Replace
admin:x:501:
To
admin:x:501:apache

Now, I can set folder permission to 755 and make them writable , without install suphp or set folder to 777.

But is there any risk to changing this setting ?
