hi all, i know this might not be new so i hope someone can help, bellsouth and now i here others are blocking port 25 . the problem is as i use one isp and my customers that are located elsewhere and try to send mail get errors that the smtp server is not available or refusing traffic.. it works ok as long as the customer happens to be using the same isp that iam using. they could use their isp smtp, but this is a big haszel to go with for the consumer end (setting up their domain as pop and their isp as stmp) and iam about to sign up a new reseller who has a buch of customers with a real big bunch of email account with differernt isps ,, i have heard of a fix ,, i think something abt another port or something, i really could use some pointers here, and this looks to become a really big problem.. hope iam not to over reacting,, please pointing in the right direction and construtive input welcome....

I heard on the radio today that BellSouth is being bought by AT&T (the old SBC). SBC/ATT has been blocking port 25 from dynamic-IP accounts (dialup and most DSL) for some time now, so it's reasonable that BellSouth will start doing the same.

Use the authenticated SMTP port 587 as described in the post referenced above.
