Due to the datacenter blocking port 2222 I was forced with the help of Jeff and Mark (and some posters on the forum) to change the port number that DirectAdmin runs on.

While it works great I have some minor issues that would be great if they were fixed:

- Jeff mentioned that automatic updates would not work anymore, for me this is not an issue but for other people it might be.
- The alternative (friendly) url to get to the control panel http(s)://www.domain.com/config still defaults to port 2222. This means that I have to give the port number to my customers in stead of a friendly (easy to remember) url.

If I find more issues I will post them here.

Kind Regards,

Try editing

/usr/local/directadmin/scripts/redirect.php

Since apache redirects /config to this page, which then redirects to the port.

Afraid this does not work.

I updated the specified file and then typed http://www.server.com/config and got redirected to port 2222...

I'm sure with a little work the http and port numbers can be read from the config files in any event. This should not be hardcoded.

My mistake. The file that needed editing was:

/var/www/html/redirect.php

That is the one that httpd.conf refers to!

The httpd.conf has an alias for /config -> redirect.php

redirect.php then uses a header to redirect to port 2222.
