After some quick review, it appears to be possible to allow users to run Jeykll based sites on cPanel (InmotionHosting allows for this it seems). Is it possible to do the same with DirectAdmin? I'm not as familiar with the underlying dependencies for Jeykll as it requires RubyGems and Ruby v.2.4+ to run. My experience with Ruby is probably from 10 years ago and limited, at most.

I'm not certain I understand how that would work for a shared hosting customer. Care to elaborate? I'm waiting for the coffee to kick in. :)
Well, Jekyll is just a static site generator, so you can run it on your PC, and then upload the output to the webserver.

LFTP is a command-line FTP, FTPS and SFTP client that has a mirror feature, so you can just run a script, and it'l mirror the local jekyll site to the webserver.
