Hello,

I hope this is the correct portion of the forum to post my query, this is a stats related question. I've recently switched from a c-panel interface to direct admin, all is well with the exception of 'latest visitor stats'. Is there program suitable for direct admin that will give me real time stats, I find this function to be extremely important.

Thanks for your help,

stats are tallied nightly - awstats and webalizer are included with Directadmin. There's no "real time" stats - that'd be EXTREMELY disk and cpu intensive on a shared server

I'm aware of how awstats and webalizer work, also that direct does not offer it. My question was geared more towards if a third party program was available, my host suggested they could provide it with an upgrade.

How does Cpanel get away with it, it may be well worth returning to a Cpanel interface. After the first 30 page views in webalizer there's not much to show, latest visitor stats show a wealth of very useful information.

There's no real time stats built into DA, but to make a correction, awstats on the other hand is available in DA:

For your real time stats, you are referring to seeing who is currently logged into DA on your server?

Right, the stats I'm referring to give up to the minute info as to who is visiting your site at that particular moment. The stats would reflect the IP of the visitor, the referral page they came from, the file they are presently accessing and then where they travel from there, in real time. You can see the visitors activity throughout your site...

Awstats is great, webilizer is good for seeing page views, though after the first 30 in the list, it doesn't give much info, but certainly is also good in recognizing the keywords and such.

I'm currently looking around, your input is appreciated. I had found this app, but wasn't real certain if this would do the trick

That link appears to be an application for creating log entries. I'd think you can use the log entries created by DirectAdmin's default apache configuration.

At the bottom of the linked page is a list of programs you can use to analyze the files; one of them is webalizer.

I don't see anything available in real-time.

Jeff
