I think the forum join date would be a more private way of measuring involvement with DirectAdmin.

As you can see, I joined at about the same time as sHuKKo.

I'd rather not give it in public and would warn anybody from giving it.
I don't understand or think of a way to abuse a LID.
Maybe I am too good hearted

btw another off-topic question is after the first day of my license I send an email about reselling directadmin.
9 years later , I am STILL waiting for a reseller plan :)

I own directadmin.tld.ofmycountry for years and still waiting to be able to re-sell directadmin :(

Note: although there is only a single page on that domain.
I get about 4-5 phone calls a week asking for licenses...

DirectAdmin doesn't use authorized resellers. If they're not responding, that may be why.

The only way to offer DirectAdmin is if you offer a dedicated server or VPS plan from your datacenter, and then only on those servers.

I know that very well.
Just saying I am still waiting for a reseller plan :)
If I can be able to resell directadmin I can benefit from it :D
I own 72 Internal Bulk Lifetime licenses at the moment.
All for vps and dedicated servers on my own racks and ip blocks.

What is the need to tell your license id to others?

Yeah you really are an old timer Jeff
I started my first webhosting business in 1995 when the Internet was finally separated from the U.S. government and was allowed to carry commercial traffic.
DirecTV in 1994 and I'm still their customer too. ;)
You've got me beat as far as television service froim a single provider, but I've been a customer of one cable television company or another since the very late 60s.

I may have you beat when it comes to telephone service; I've used Sprint in one form or another for long distance, local wireline, or wireless service, since the late 70s. (I was a vendor to them back when they did dial-around long distance in the late 70s, so of course I also used their service, which I got at a very good price.) The current people at Sprint, at least the ones you can talk to, have no idea of the Sprint early history: formed by Southern Pacific Railway; see interesting story here (yak.net), but if memory serves, we knew them as Southern Pacific Railway Internal Telephone Network, not any of the permutations on the linked site.
