Just thinking:

The License ID is automatically issued once the payment is made, but the license itself stays inactive until DA staff activates it.

Since the client would know the LID and has specified the Operating System already, it would be good if the license would 'auto-activate' upon installing DA on the server and then bind to the server's IP.

That way DA staff would not have to manually activate the licenses, therefore saving their valuable time. The moment install script attempts to get the license from the DA server, DA would make a record of it and assign that server's IP to the license.

Just a thought that could save huge amounts of time when purchasing licenses for clients.

Directadmin Staff normally always reply's reasonably fast to emails send to them.
So I don't mind if they keep replying fast enough.

I would definitely like something like this implemented with Directadmin. The licensing process as far as the activation, change of IPs or even an OS change in the license should be a lot less dependent on DA staff. They are good but it can take hours before any of the above is accomplished by them. Right now I am stuck and waiting for an OS change (from 5.x to 6.x) in one of my licenses and its been more than three hours already since I asked. Previously i had to wait another couple+ hours before the IP was changed as I requested. I didn't know an incorrect OS on my license would give errors during installation, it makes sense since its asked while installing.

Personally, while I am installing or reloading a server, I like to go and finish it all at once but with this system from DA, I have stop and wait for them to do what ever I need with my license so I can continue. It is a little frustrating sometimes.
