At some point today all of my domains have had local data and mail set to no so I'm getting email sending and receiving issues.

Does anybody know how to resolve this please?

I performed a cPanel account import from a backup restore today and that domain is set correctly but everything else is no.

I did perform a ./build rewrite_confs command so that the imported domain would resolve which may have caused the issue but I can't see how to re-enable the other domains.

Thanks

Can you check your DNS settings if they all are correct? Because local data NO is mostly caused by the fact that DA thinks the domains are present on another server, so it does not "see" the accounts for some reason.

Check the DNS of the domains. As for the Local Mail NO, check the MX page of te domains and there select the option that mail is handled via the local server.

If you have retail license, I recommend to create support ticket, because this case could be something bug relate to cpanel-import tools.

I'm worry, both local is set to "no", maybe those domains are gone ?
Website still work correctly?

Thanks Both,

Yes, the DNS records all still seem to be intact and the websites are loading correctly. On the MX page for the domains use local server is unchecked. If I toggle it on then local mail reverts back to yes for that single domain though I don't ever recall it being checked in the past.

I'm able to reset Local Data by renaming the domain to something temporary and back again as this other poster did in another thread (https://forum.directadmin.com/threads/550-authentication-required-email-bounce.69280/post-366954)

Interestingly for the main domain associated with the server and also the admin account primary domain, if I rename that I get the following error.

THERE WAS AN ERROR WHILE CHANGING THAT DOMAIN NAME

Unable to write user's httpd.conf
Unable to read lithiumionsafety.co.uk.conf file
Unable to read lithiumionsafety.co.uk.conf file

the domain in the error is the one I imported to the admin reseller but not the main domain on the admin account.

OK, so it does look like an issue with the cpanel import. the domain where the .conf couldn't be read was added to the admin domains.list file but it was imported to a user account with admin as the reseller. I think this was because the domain was manually created on the admin account earlier and caused some kind of conflict. Everything seems to be cleaned up now I've removed the entry from domains.list and completed the rename domain workaround. I have more cpanel imports to do so will watch for this and do a server image before I start :D
