I receive a lot of spam from my e-mail addresses !
No open relay, but only e-mails from my address to my address.
i've also configurate auth to send e-mail but nothing is changing.

I'm going to close smtp port, i'm inviting all my customers to send email with they own providers !!!

How can i close smtp port in exim without any problem to receive e-mail?

There is a solution to prevent this local spam in exim and continue to work with my server smtp ?!?

Pleaseeeeee !!!! Help me ; )

Ps: I love directadmin ---> simple, useful and fast!

Best regards to all

If you close the smtp port then nobody can send email to your server.

e-mails from my address to my address.

This has already been discussed in another thread and a solution and consequences posted.

Thank you Floyd :)

Are you sure its local.... I mean, if its local, the headers will only show your server's IP/etc address.....

I get a lot of these myself, and its not local...... Many people that spam use addresses from various random domains, hence getting bounces.

Sorry...

It's not local spam.... all the ip are coming from China and Russia!
I think (maybe) they send spam from telnet, they send e-mail from my address to my address also if auth is configured.
I've tryed to send an e-mail using telnet from ME to ME and i can send a message.
I can't find a solution in the forum... i've tryed several times to find an answer...
HEEEEEEEELLLLPPPPP : )

David

I'm not very good at all this filtering stuff, but is there a way to check if the message is local or from a foreign IP/etc, then filter it?

Local as in authenticated I mean
