Log files?

My HTTP server (Apache, what ever the DA default is) recently shut down, which caused my server to go several hours without any web access... DNS, FTP, and the MAIL server stayed up how ever...

Are there any log files on the server that can possibly tell me why it went down?

Check out

/var/log/httpd/

You may want to look at error_log specifically.
