Login page takes you back to login page

Sometimes if I login to DA and enter the correct username and password, it takes me back to the login page wanting the username and password again. It's not the page that tells you bad password, it the normail first time screen you see when you got to port 2222.

There are two ways to work-arounds for this:

1) Close all IE browser windows.
2) Point directly to the IP:2222

I'm using the enhanced skin for all users.

Does anyone know why this migh be happening?

Might be an Internet Explorer problem. Does Firefox reproduce the same problem?
Have you tried clearing all cached pages, cookies and so on in IE?

Hi jmstacey,

It appears to be a cookie issue. If I delete the cookie, the problem goes away.

I thought it was caching and ruled out caching, not cookie. I can take it from here to fix the problem. Thanks.

For anyone interested, the problem came in when I pointed to mydomain.com (without the www) where we set a cookie on an old server with a different IP. Then when I went to the new server at www.mydomain.com at the new IP, the cookie from mydomain.com (without the www) was somehow affecting the new server www.mydomain.com.
