Login problem

Hi!

I have just installer DirectAdmin onto my webserver. And I got this big problem.
Before I installed I had a user name and a password that worked. After I have installed my username seems to work, but not the password. But when I login with admin and the passwrod i have on the directadmin login on the web, i can come in. Why is that. It seems like something is wrong.

passwd user

and put the pass that you want.

I understand that part, but after Direct Admin Install, I can't login with SSH on the regular user account. ONLY the direct admin.

But the command in root passwd user dont work. I do get up the password change things, but it wont work when trying to login.

When the DA install finishes, it tells you the admin password account and it makes admin a valid ssh user.

Have you tried logging in as admin?

Like I said;

I can login with the admin user and password with SSH. BUT, I had created two users before I installed DA. They are there, but i cannot login to them wit the user and password once sett before DA came.

Find your sshd configuration file and add AllowUsers lines for both of those usernames.
