Looking for API function to download a file?

Hi community,

Looking for some help on this one as i have some conflicting information in other forums and documentation.

I am looking for a CMD_API_XXX to download a file from the server, basically i am making a wordpress plugin backup manager and would like functions to download files and create backups can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hello,

It is not recommended to download files using CMD_API_FILE_MANAGER.

It's better to use CMD_FILE_MANAGER as the output is always going to be just the file's data anyway. eg: CMD_FILE_MANAGER?path=/path/file.jpg
