lost email and forwarders

hello,

we have restore our server after a crash witch the admin backups.

now when we login we don't see the mail adresses.
all the mail address and forwarders are gone.

I think this information is stored in a specific file in de directadmin dirtory.
but I dont now which file it is.

any help?

EDIT:
mail adresses are back and also the forwarders and catch all.
If we sent a mail the mail comes into the mailbox but not in webmail or in outlook.

in DirectAdmin we see the mail box is growing in kb's.
so the mails are comminging inside.

we have also istall dovecot maby this the problem?
set permisions wil not help
restart exim en dovcot will not help

From what you write it appears that exim is saving emails into an mbox style system while dovecott is expecting a MailDir system.

See the threads for converting to Dovecott to make sure everything was done properly.
