Lots of Site Editing: File Download?

I have to revamp my site and am wondering if there is a good way to download all of the files from my site through DirectAdmin.

FTP seems to be giving me issues due to what I think is the security level on the files, but I'm sure someone here has done this much more often than I have, so let me know.

Just make a backup and download that. It will have all the files you need. The file manager wouldnt allow you to download it all at once.
