Mail issue

Hi,

I had mail issue with exim or dovecot i don`t know what stuck. Users could send mails but could not receive. I reinstalll dovecot and exim and mail are working fine. But mails that are delivered "older" mails are not delivering. But they are there in file /var/spool/virtual/domain/user

What can i do about this? Any suggestion ?

Actually you should check exim logs in /var/log/exim/

Also some other information should be nice to know:

Have the email ever worked?
If yes, have you made any modify?
If yes, what did you do?

Are the DNS settings correct? You can check using www.intodns.com/YOURDOMAIN

Who send email to your server receive an error email from mailer-daemon?
If yes, do you have one of those for check the error?

Have you switched from mbox to Dovecot/Maildir? Standard Dovecot install on DirectAdmin is probably not looking in /var/spool/virtual/DOMAIN/USER, as these are mbox files used previously. If you used the DirectAdmin method to convert to Dovecot, it should have done the conversion for you.
