I had noticed that the other day mail was not being rated by spam assassin in the headers.

I then updated spam assassin and added some new rules. I also installed spam stopper v2.

All day yesterday it was amazing. Only 1 or 2 spams got through on multiple accounts I was monitoring. The headers of emails did note that they were being rated by SA.

This morning, I found the usual high amount of spam in these inboxes. I looked at the headers and they are no longer being rated by spamassassin.

Any ideas where I can look to get SA to work?

update: restarted exim and now emails are successfully being flagged for spam.

i'm sure it's a matter of time for it to happen again so i'm still looking for the cause.

Can you let me know what new rules did you add to SpamAssasin? (could you paste the exim bit of the added rules?)
Also, what is Spam Stoppeer v2?

Thanks,

-Alon.
