Hi,
Currently, I am using DirectSlave on a VPS outside my data center to act as a DNS failover. This allows my customers to continue using Google Workspace, Office 365, etc., until the primary server comes back online.

Now, I am looking for a how-to or guide to create a failover mail server so that my local users can continue using their email accounts until the primary server is back online. Can anyone share a guide with me?

I know that rsync is very important, as is dovecot-adm, but I’m not sure how this could affect the custom configuration required to sync with my primary server, which has DirectAdmin installed.

The main goal of creating a failover mail server is to provide access to both old and new emails through webmail until the DirectAdmin server is back online. Also, these emails should be synced to the DirectAdmin server; otherwise, they would remain in separate mailboxes, which would be problematic.

Thank you!
Best regards
