All my accounts are migrated from cPanel (thanks for the tool, it's wonderful).

Today, after receiving a space alert from a client, I noticed that they have:

Code:
5.8G /home/excelle/imap
5.1G /home/excelle/Maildir

The thing is, I get the feeling that the Maildir is a folder that is there because it came from the migration and wasn't even correct.

Based on the dates, the content seems like something that was left there and simply got migrated.

Is this correct?

Or am I missing something?

The imap/ directory is the virtual email accounts created for the domain. The Maildir/ directory is the mail delivered to the system user (account username). The latter is typically where output from cron gets sent, so if left unchecked, it could fill up with junk over time.

Hello

Looking at the problems, I can't understand it. The usage dates are very old, and there is no such antiquity in the system, since they have been migrated a few months and a few days ago.

And the dates tell me about the last accesses years ago.

Except for a xapian-indexes directory

Is there a mechanism to clean this up?

Is it possible that this mechanism is not working?

best regards

Xapian is for full text search for Dovecot. I believe that Xapian is not installed by default, either with cPanel or DirectAdmin. If you don't use it anymore, you can stop Dovecot and delete the folder, then start Dovecot again. Remember to backup before doing anyway.
