Mailing Lists - syntax issue

I've been managing mailing lists on directadmin for a long time.

I've always added email addresses as:

Firstname Lastname <[email protected]>

Recently, when I do this, I get an error:
An error has occurred
Details
That E-Mail Address Contains invalid characters

If I enter it as [email protected], it works fine.

The issue is I NEED the first and last name to keep track of people as their email addresses are often ... well, [email protected]

It should read:

"Firstname Lastname" <[email protected]>, "Another User" <[email protected]>

Note the quotes around the name.

I also have this problem.
The solution provided doesn't work. Still gets the error.
I am using DA 1.31.

Hello,

It was changed with this:
http://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=796
so that when you add multiple emails, DA breaks down the list into individual emails and checks each one for syntax.

If you really want the:
"First Last" <[email protected]>
format, I could go through it to change the definition of "what is a valid email" ... let me know.

It would be nice to have the possibility as a feature.
As TS pointed out.. [email protected] could be somewhat difficult to identify..

For now I just tell the customer it is a bugfix which has to do with better filtering of email addresses.
