Hi,

I hope the topic makes sense. For some reason I only have difficult to explain errors ;). Also english is not my native language. So please bear with me if I don't make sense. I'm a newbie directaccess admin and don't have any linux experience.

We host a website (www.vzhgreens.com) but not their mailbox.
We also host our own website (paddocklive.nl) and our mail.

When using our own SMTP server (or mail via webmail) to mail to an email account of vzhgreens.com (which is hosted somewhere else, the DNS record of mail.vzhgreens.com does not point to our server.) the mail bounces with thefollowing error.

Onderwerp: Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:
[email protected]

I removed the mail.vzhgreens.com records from DA. This didn't resolve the issue.

Using the smtp server of our ISP does resolve the issue.

We need this resolved because we (our accountmanager who is on the road often) use webmail to contact vhzgreens.com.

Thank you!

Make sure DNS is turned on for the user.

Then log into the control panel as the user and click on MX Records. It's all self-explanatory there.

Jeff
