Hi,

Wondering who knows how to program this feature into DA which I beleive should be in the system by default:

For the mailing list, I have users that sometimes have a whole list of addresses they need to add, maybe from a function they've been to and had a clipboard where people have writent their email address down for updates on upcomming events, or in this specific case, a list that changes every quarter for a tennis club's teams.

I propose the following modification:

If the user could click 'edit file' and manually edit the file simular to the "edit file" under filemanager.

For example, user goes to mailing lists, selects the list and sees all the users subscribed and can add remove, etc, and also "Click Here" to edit digest settings, but also "Click here" to edit the file manually.

If you look at the forum under new requests, there seems to be a lot of people looking for such a function, 1 for what i'm trying to do, and second for transfering a database from another platform.

So under mailing list we need to be able to edit:
/etc/virtual/$domain/majordomo/lists/$listname

How easy would this be?

So are you syaing this option could easly be implemented?

I think we should start a forum with a bounty, simular to something that asterisk has.

A user submits what they want done and the donation amount, other users submit what that is worth to them too, then some programmers out there can see mmm, he's donating $20 and that guy $50 etc etc and total bounty is $300, might be worthwhile to add this plugin or change to DA.??

For example, I'm willing to pay $15USD for this addition

Nope; I meant it was easy to fix your misspelling; if you'll look you'll notice the thread's header is now "Import".

That said, though, it would be quite easy for someone to build a simple plugin to allow import export of mailing lists and/or online editing of mailing lists.

I don't have much call for majordomo, and don't use it much myself (though I host the da-announce list), so I haven't had a need to write the plugin.

Given a need or money I'd be very willing to write it or have it written.

That's not enough for me yet, but perhaps for someone else. Or perhaps someone will up the bounty.

For me to do it we'd have to agree that the plugin would be a free product available for free download once it was created.
